Dagligdags

This post is going to be in English, just because it's dedicated to my friends and family here in America.

I want to thank you all. Thank you for letting me in. Thank you for asking me to eat lunch with you. Thank you for bringing me everywhere. Thank you for helping me in class. Thank you for asking me to come. Thank you for giving me a ride home every day. Thank you for introducing me to all the people I've met. Thank you for being great. Thank you for being nice. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for making this the best year of my life. Thank you for giving me memories I'll never forget. Thank you for being you.

There are no words that can describe how thankful I am. But most of all, I want to thank my host family. I want everyone to know what a wonderful family they are. Nothing can ever make up for everything they've done for me, all the places they've taken me. Nothing can ever replace them, and they will always be my second family.

I also want you all to know what a wonderful town Wrightstown is. It might not be the most exciting or biggest place around, but I would pick it over any other place in Wisconsin every day. It's a small town full of loving people. People who ask you to join them, and people who make things easier. People who open up and understand that being an exchange student can be really hard. It's also full of wonderful teachers who, more than once, helped me out. Coming from a big place, and a country where you don't say hi to strangers, Wrightstown, and Wisconsin in general, is an amazing place to live. Outgoing and welcoming people. People in the line at the grocery store ask how your day was, and it may make your day go from awful to amazing in two seconds. These are some of the small things I'll remember and appreciate.

I also want to thank my parents. Thank you for letting me do this, and giving me this opportunity. Thank you for supporting me through everything, and for making leaving as easy as possible. You've truly helped me become a different person, and it has also helped me figure out what I want to do in the future.

There is no other place I'd rather spend my year, and I do not want to leave. At all. I can't imagine waking up somewhere else, because it feels like I've lived here forever. I can't even begin to describe this place and these people, and how much I'm going to miss it. I hope I see you all again one day, because this is not goodbye. YOU CAN'T GET RID OF ME THAT EASILY. I'm proud to call Peter, Kristine, Evan, Lauren and Reagan my family, and, of course, all my friends. I have the most amazing friends, and I'm so grateful that I got to know all of you.

Love you all.
